‘Tis the season for holiday decorating, and as it happens a getaway to Norwalk, Connecticut—and to Hotel Zero Degrees, of course—is an excellent place to outfit yourself with the necessary supplies.
For many (though of course not all), foremost among those supplies is a Christmas tree. As a guest of ours here at Hotel Zero Degrees Norwalk, you’ve got a variety of Christmas-tree farms within easy reach. You can check out a comprehensive list of farms in Fairfield County over at Kids Out & About, but we thought we’d spotlight a couple of especially close-by options—and, just for good measure, a popular purveyor of holiday gifts and décor.
In operation since 1769—not bad, huh?—this dairy farm first began growing Christmas trees for sale in the 1920s. Maple Row Farm is open every day until December 25 from 9 AM to 4:30 PM, giving you the chance to select the perfect festive conifer for your needs: a balsam fir, Norway spruce, or any of a number of other classic possibilities.
Besides cutting your own Christmas tree, you can also enjoy hayrides and other festive fun on weekend visits to Maple Row Farm.
