The 2017 Greenwich Wine & Food Festival: Big-Name Chefs & More
The Wine & Food Festival, presented by Serendipity, brings together chefs, vintners, brewers, distillers, food artisans, and—of course—loads of eaters and drinkers in one exuberant celebration of the finer things in life.
This year’s crop of celebrity chefs is, as usual, an impressive one: Mario Batali, Alex Guarnaschelli, Scott Conant, Julia Deane, and many others, on hand to perform cooking demos, engage in interviews, and sign books.
The Menu
And more than 150 food, wine, and spirits vendors—the Whelk, Pinot’s Palette, Wooster Street Meats, Tomatillo Taco Joint, and Copper & Thief Cellarmasters, to name a mere handful—will be on hand to supply the delicious and diverse fuel for the two-day blowout. The Grand Tasting Tent, needless to say, will be the heart of the proceedings.
Burger & Booze Faceoffs
It wouldn’t be a proper food festival without some friendly (if vigorous) competition, and you won’t be disappointed in Greenwich. Adam Richman will host the 6th Annual Burger Battle judged by chefs Conant and Guarnaschelli, while some masterful mixology will be going down during the 3rd Annual Top Bartender Showdown.
The Soundtrack
The wining-and-dining atmosphere at the Greenwich Wine & Food Festival gets a boost from live music, too: Big Head Todd and the Monsters on Friday (which marks the Master Chef Wine Dinner) and Train taking the bash home on Saturday.
