Terra Ristorante Italiano Danbury comes about as a collaboration between Hotel Zero Degrees and our culinary partner Z Hospitality Group, whose Ramze Zakka opened the original Terra location in Greenwich more than a quarter-century ago.
While both Old and New World inflections define the menu at Terra, the venerable cuisine of Northern Italy. Needless to say, we firmly believe that’s some of the finest cookery in the world, and we’re proud to host such a showcase for it here at Hotel Zero Degrees Danbury.
Executive Chef Albert DeAngelis and his team produce classic Northern Italian specialties as well as other dishes using plenty of local bounty, which means the Terra menu beautifully reflects the seasons.
Highlights of the Terra Ristorante Italiano Danbury Menu
From the appetizers to a wine list boasting more than 100 labels from fine Italian and California vineyards, the Terra menu is all-around swoon-inducing.
You might begin your meal here with a bowl of Tomato & Basil Soup, the Beef Carpaccio (paired with mushrooms, arugula, and Grana Padano in a truffle vinaigrette), or the Fried Calamari, presented with spicy tomato and Thai chili sauces and lemon.
When it comes to main courses, there are many routes to take at Terra: from margherita, sausage, prosciutto, or other pizzas to such pasta dishes as cavatelli with Italian sausage and eggplant, spinach ravioli, and spicy shrimp and scallop fettuccine. Other Terra entrées include the Chicken Scarpariello, parmesan-crusted halibut, traditional eggplant parmesan, C.A.B. Skirt steak, and a falafel sandwich. The sides, meanwhile, are worthy of mention as well: from the French fries dressed in black truffle aioli to the basmati rice with summer veggies and the succotash of corn and fava beans.
